I left my computer to have the motherboard replaced. This was not a diagnostic test.
They were going to find out how much was the part + labor. They asked me for a $30 deposit as "security against their buying the part If I agreed to the price". I declined the service after they told me the price. But, they refuse to refund my deposit.
They gave me a bill with $0 dollars charged for no service provided, and yet they kept the $30. I have the Westchester Consumer Protection agency working on this. I little honesty from the beginning would have made things cleared.
They never said the deposit is non-refundable if I decline the servcie. Needles to say thier bill and job contract does not say that either.
